Move For What Matters
From October 15-24, get out there (or stay in) and move to support kids with special needs! Any type of movement session counts, from walking to hiking, rolling to cycling, downward dog to Netflix with a side of push-ups, pulling weeds to cleaning up your neighborhood. The options are endless! Move by yourself or grab a group of friends and try a new trail.
How it works
- Register for the Move-a-Thon!
- Raise money on your personal fundraising page to support critical CTC programs. You can join forces with other fundraisers by creating a team. If you want to join an already existing team, the team creator can invite you to join their team.
- Beginning on October 15th, get out (or stay in) and move!
- Share your stories on social media and on your fundraising page — post photos, videos, routes, and support the accomplishments of other participants.
- Log your movement sessions for a chance to win prizes.
- Celebrate our achievements! Cheer on your fellow movers from afar, knowing that we are strengthening our region together.
- Fundraiser Toolkit
- Calling all hikers! Find a trail that fits your group, location and preferences with Washington Trails Association’s Hike Finder Map.

Frequently Asked questions
Our do-it-yourself model enables anyone, anywhere to participate! There is no age limit or geographical requirement. You don't need to be a fitness expert to move! Any movement counts, from dancing to gardening to stretching to running a marathon—the possibilities are endless! Our Move-a-Thon is a great way to connect with friends and family who might not live nearby and participate in something "together" that works for your group members.
There are a couple options for registration. Go to our main fundraising page here. One there, you have two options to register:
- Make a donation ("Give Now"). Suggested donation is $15/participant, but this event is give-what-you-can.
2. Create your own fundraising page ("Start Fundraising") to help us reach our overall goal! The suggested donation of $15, or other amount, can be made directly to your own page to get you started towards your personal goal.
Don't plan to move with us this year? Support your friend or family member with a donation to their fundraising page as they move for what matters!
Yes! This event is open to everyone. If neither registration option listed above works for you, you can still participate by moving and grooving from 10/15/2021-10/24/2021 and logging your movement activities here. By logging your activity, you will be entered to win prizes. Another way to participate is by liking and sharing our social media posts and posting your own participation pictures on social media.

Click here for step-by-step instructions on creating a Fundraising Team. Creating a team makes you the Team Captain. Team pages are a great way to raise money separately whilst still contributing to a larger team goal. The page will list everyone’s individual page, as well as the charity you’re raising money for and the collective total you’ve raised together.

You can post photos or videos on your personal fundraising page. If you did not create a personal fundraising page, you can email photos to Naomi O'Connor at email@example.com. Please use "CTC's 2021 Move-a-Thon Photo Submission" for the email subject line.
To log your movement activities, complete and submit this form. Return to this same form each time you want to log a workout. If an activity was done as a group, each individual should submit the form separately to receive "credit" and be entered to win prizes.
Complete and submit this form to be entered to win the prizes for most movement sessions or most movement minutes. Prizes for most raised will be based on fundraising page totals.
We accept offline donations as well as donations made online through other platforms. Be sure to note that your gift is for CTC’s 2021 Move-a-Thon so that we can count it towards our goal.
